The XMM-ATLAS survey: AGN - star-formation co-evolution

We propose to observe the 16 sq. deg. of the HerschelATLAS ScienceDemonstration Phase (SDP) in mosaic mode (total requested exposure 700 ks). TheHATLAS (PACS+SPIRE) survey covers regions with excellent qualitymultiwavelength data, including the GAMA AAT spectroscopic survey and near andmidIR data from the UKIDSS and WISE surveys. The proposed observations willprovide the largest contiguous area farIR/submm survey with Xray followup.This area will contain about 6000 250um and 2000 Xray sources. The majorscientific goals are to place strong constrains on the link between AGN andstarformation activity in the lowredshift (z<0.5) Universe, and to investigatethe effect of very luminous AGN on their hosts. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
