A mixed culture of microorganisms was isolated from Gulf of Mexico oil-contaminated marsh sediment and grown in 28-day incubations amended with high molecular weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (HMW-PAHs). Targeted amplicons included V4 (16S), Archaea, Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS), and Eukaryote.
