Narrative Reward

# Narrative Reward Forty participants read a story with interactive decision points. They were shown an item, asked to make a yes/no decision about the item, and received feedback indicating a correct or incorrect decision. In the narrative condition, narrative context was provided at the time the item appeared and after feedback was received. In the nonnarrative condition, no such context was provided. Narrative trials were blocked hierarchically. Narrative was provided when entering and leaving a location (e.g., a building) and before each sub-location (e.g., a room). Three locations were visited, each comprising three sub-locations of 6 items each.
