Caught between the dream and reality: considering advance care planning - Event Resources and Recording

In June 2025, Open Thanatology co-hosted an online event with the Marie Curie Palliative Care Research Department (UCL) on advance care planning.<b>Title of the event: Caught between the dream and reality: considering advance care planning</b>The documents here are from that event, and they include:· Programme for the day· Recording of welcome session, both presentation sessions and panel 1 (across two files due to the length of the event; breaks are included in the recording)· Transcription of the welcome session, both presentation sessions and panel 1· Slides from the presentations (where permission to share them has been granted)· Summary of Panel 2 discussion and recommendations for research (in lieu of recording and transcript )· Handout of relevant resources and linksCopyright for presentations and panel contributions remains with the individual contributor(s).All participants were made aware during event registration, with the event link information, and at the start of the session that the event was being recorded and that the recording would be published on ORDO. Presenters/Panellists had the option to revoke or amend their consent after the event, to limit what is shared in the repository. This has resulted in Panel 2 being omitted from the recording and transcript, and not all slides being stored in the repository. The handout of links provides sources for several of the articles discussed in the presentations.
