RNA Sequencing of Kidney and Skeletal Muscle Samples from Young WT and Klotho KO Male Mice

This dataset includes gene expression profiles from kidney and skeletal muscle samples of young male C57BL/6J mice with a-klotho gene knockout, along with age-matched wild-type controls. This short-lived model was used to validate transcriptomic clocks and to comprehensively characterize the molecular hallmarks of mortality associated with this genetic modification. Overall design: Young (8-week-old) male wildtype (WT) and a-klotho knockout (Klotho KO) C57BL/6J mice. 24 biological replicates: 6 kidney and 6 skeletal (gastrocnemius) muscle samples per genotype.
