Cold air drainage transect studies at the Andrews Experimental Forest, 2002 to 2016

Temperature data are being collected to investigate the effects of elevation and local topographic position on the patterns of cold air drainage and pooling in the HJ Andrews Forest, and how they vary with synoptic weather patterns. The main focus of the study is cold air drainage in the Lookout Creek area, but others sites have been added to sample temperature signatures at other locations of the forest with topographic positions that need to be better understood. Here, daily minimum and maximum temperatures are available from several stations along 4 separate transects or clusters with some additional single sensors also included.
