Reimagining the Periodic Table Through the Golden Ratio Spiral (Φ)

This work proposes a reorganization of the Periodic Table of Elements using a Golden Ratio (Φ)–based logarithmic spiral in place of the traditional rectilinear arrangement. The mapping positions all 118 known elements along a continuous spiral curve whose growth constant matches Φ ≈ 1.618, a geometric proportion prevalent in natural systems from galactic arms to phyllotaxis. This geometry preserves atomic number order while revealing harmonic clustering of element families along distinct arcs, potentially exposing correlations in periodicity, isotopic stability, ionization energy, and electronegativity not readily apparent in the conventional table. The approach reframes atomic structure as a manifestation of harmonic growth rather than purely discrete periodic steps, offering new pathways for visualization, pedagogy, and predictive modeling. The paper outlines the construction method, highlights preliminary observed patterns, and invites collaborative inquiry into the possible implications for chemical theory, material science, and interdisciplinary research at the intersection of geometry and atomic physics.
