This study aimed to identify human gut microbes that influence spatial working memory (SWM) by humanizing the gut microbiota of C57BL/6 mice through fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) from human donors. Y-maze performance was assessed before and after FMT to evaluate changes in SWM. Based on post-FMT SWM changes, mice were categorized into three groups: PI (improved SWM), II (unchanged SWM), and NI (declined SWM). Gut microbiota composition was analyzed using samples collected from both feces and the whole gastrointestinal tract to compare microbial profiles across groups.
