The dataset comprised 27 experimental observations generated from a full-factorial laboratory experiment evaluating the performance of a vetiver-based phytoremediation system for aquaculture greywater treatment. Each observation represented a unique combination of three discharge rates (1000, 1500, and 2000 L day⁻¹), three vetiver stem densities (50, 100, and 150 stems), and three hydraulic retention times (2, 4, and 7 days). For each treatment configuration, water-quality parameters were measured before and after treatment, including pH, colour, turbidity, total dissolved solids (TDS), nitrate, nitrite, iron (Fe), odour, fecal coliform, biological oxygen demand (BOD), and chemical oxygen demand (COD). Laboratory analyses were conducted using standard APHA methods. The resulting dataset was used to evaluate treatment performance, calculate pollutant removal efficiencies, and develop the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) model. Within the structural model, discharge rate, vetiver stem density, and hydraulic retention time were specified as operational variables, whereas selected water-quality indicators represented overall treatment performance. The complete dataset provides an integrated basis for analysing the interactions between hydraulic conditions, biological processes, and water-quality improvement.
