Occurrence records over two?decades of surveying springtails (Collembola) across?the Antarctic Peninsula (2004-2024)

Across various Spanish research projects soils of Antarctic Peninsula have been surveyed with soil fauna extractions for various activities, such as ecological experimentation, human impact monitoring, molecular biology research and genetics and morphometric characterizations. Here we present the complete record of Collembola collated and taxonomically identified by a Spanish polar research consortium across the Antarctic Peninsula over two decades (2004-2024). These include much novel records as well as records diffusely reported in specific publications. These new records include hundreds of soil sample collections from several of the South Shetland Islands and many sites from the Antarctic Peninsula. Slide-plated specimens are housed in UAM Zoology Department biological collection.
