A production method of fine cellulose fiber is provided which involves (1) a step in which raw pulp is chemically modified to obtain chemically modified pulp， and (2) a step in which the chemically modified pulp obtained in the aforementioned step is mechanically processed under the condition of a solid content concentration of greater than or equal to 15 wt%.
