Haplotype-resolved chromosome-level genome assembly of Huyou (Citrus changshanensis)

Huyou (Citrus changshanensis) is an important citrus species originated and mainly cultivated in Zhejiang Province, China. It is popular not only for its unique flavor, but also for its health benefits which are due to its high content of bioactive compounds, such as naringin and limonin. However, the lack of genome has limited the exploration of potential health-promoting substances in Huyou and research into the mechanisms underlying its medicinal effects. In this study, we report a phased chromosome-level genome assembly of Huyou.
