Ultra-Trace Lanthanum Accumulation in Human Liver Tissue: A Pioneering Case Study of Chronic Medical Exposure Enhanced by Artificial Intelligence
收藏资源简介:
This case study reports the first quantified detection of lanthanum in the liver of a 45-year-old male with chronic kidney disease, exposed to lanthanum carbonate (3 g/day, 5 years) and gadolinium-based contrast agents (6 MRI scans). Using AI-enhanced ICP-MS (Python, scikit-learn, random forest classifier trained on 1000 spectra), we measured lanthanum at 0.02 ± 0.005 µg/g, significantly above the limit of quantification (<0.001 µg/g) in controls (n=5). Histological analysis revealed mild hepatic inflammation (score: 1), potentially associated with lanthanum, though causality is unconfirmed. Other liver disease confounders were ruled out. Integrating analytical chemistry, toxicology, clinical medicine, environmental health, and AI, this study highlights REE bioaccumulation risks and proposes a global monitoring framework aligned with WHO, EPA, and UN guidelines.
