These data support the results presented in the manuscript titled "Improving the Gaussianity of Radar Reflectivity Departures between Observations and Simulations by Using the Symmetric Rain Rate". This study contains three kinds of reflectivity data: composites of vertical maximum reflectivity in the CVMR directory, constant altitude plan position indicators at 1 km altitude in the CAPPI_1km directory and logarithmic transform in the TRANS_LOG directory. Meanwhile, the composites of vertical maximum reflectivity are matched with the CMA Multisource Precipitation Analysis System (CMPAS) data are included in the CMPAS directory. All data sets have been quality controlled and interpolated, not the raw observations and original simulations. For coding convenience, we lined up all data, from south to north and from west to east, in ascii files after quality control and interpolation. The source codes related to the construction of symmetric error model can be provided by request.
