The Work-Zone Dataset was collected on the G36 Expressway in Nanjing. This dataset focuses on highway traffic operations under road construction conditions, where temporary work-zone layouts, lane restrictions, and localized disturbances can create complex vehicle-following, merging, and bottleneck dynamics. Traffic videos were collected by UAVs over multiple work-zone segments on May 15, May 18, May 27, and June 1, 2022. The observations cover several G36 locations, including A1-A4, B1-B4, and C1. Each recording session provides trajectory data for analyzing freeway work-zone traffic behavior, capacity reduction, congestion formation, and vehicle interactions around the construction area. In addition to trajectory data, the dataset also includes road_config_*.json files, which are used to describe the geometric and semantic information of the road network, including lane geometry, lane markings, road mileage reference lines, coordinate axes, and work zones. These JSON files are typically generated using the annotation tool LabelMe, and the corresponding field for construction or work zone regions is workzone.
