Ecology lab week 4- Field sample training with animals

METHODS: The data was collected in two locations; the grasslands near stong pond and the saywell woodlot. A transcect of 200 metres was placed along a path with a significant amount of plant life. Using a net, to capture insects, it was "swept" along the path(kind of like pokemon).The net was swept along the bottom of plants just above the ground and in grassy areas. Swept along the whole transcect line for the whole 200 metres till the end was reached. Then the insect types and number of each was recorded. This was done 10 times in each different area, the grasslands and the woodlot, for a total of 20 times. The data was collected around 3:00 on September 30, 2014.
