资源简介:
In medical imaging and machine learning, a Sagittal View Spine MRI dataset consists of cross-sectional side-profile images of the human spine. The sagittal plane cuts the body from front to back, dividing it into left and right sides. This specific view is the gold standard for evaluating the alignment of vertebrae, intervertebral discs, the spinal canal and the exit paths for nerves. This dataset consists of T1 and T2 weighted images.
Sagittal T1-Weighted (T1): Fat appears bright, while water/cerebrospinal fluid appears dark. This sequence offers excellent anatomical detail of bone marrow and is the primary choice for evaluating Neural Foraminal Narrowing.
Sagittal T2-Weighted (T2): Water and CSF appear bright white, while bone and healthy discs appear darker. This is highly useful for assessing the spinal canal and diagnosing Spinal Canal Stenosis or disc herniations.
The images in the dataset categorized as - T1 injured, T2 injured and healthy with consultation of Orthopedic expert (Dr. Harshal Kulkarni, MIraj, Maharashtra, India),. For training machine learning and deep learning models for automatic spine injury detection, this dataset is very useful. The sample images showing injury are marked separately with red colored box mentioned in another folder.
