Motivation for Learning HS Geometry 2012

This dataset includes a full year of student use of Cognitive Tutor Geometry and by ~ 82 10th graders. In addition to the standard tutor content, students completed 1) a survey at the beginning and end of the year that assessed their motivation towards mathematics 2) a brief survey (5-9 items) assessing their motivation for tutor units and 3) in 3 units per curriculum, periodic single-item prompts to report their motivation for individual tutor problems.
Students completed an intervention in the Spring that tested whether metacognitive training and prompting modules could affect behavior, performance, or learning. Please contact the PI for additional information.
