RNA-Seq of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii 137AH and DYRKP KO mutant (dyrkp or std1)

This project aims to understand gene expression in the kinase DYRKP knockout mutant of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. Comparative analysis for the transcriptional levels between parental strain (137AH) and mutant (dyrkp or std1). The cells were cultured in a photobioreactor using a minimum medium (MOPS-buffered, pH 7.3). The carbon source was supplied by 2% CO2 bubbling. The state of the cells was maintained in the mid-exponential phase through regular replacement of the culture medium.
