Dataset for thermal error compensation in a 3-axis CNC machine

This dataset provides comprehensive measurements of positioning errors in 3-axis CNC machines under varying thermal conditions, allowing the identification of accuracy and behavior in CNC machining environments, enabling the understanding of the impact of thermal fluctuations on the machine structure and components with respect to machining precision. Obtaining accurate positioning error measurements in 3-axis CNC machines is time-intensive process. The use of interferometric laser systems requires setup and calibration to ensure precise data acquisition. The replication in several temperature conditions also extend the setup time. This prolonged measurement time is necessary to capture the dynamic variations influenced by thermal fluctuations across X, Y, and Z axes.
