资源简介:
Fivebough and Tuckerbil Wetlands are Ramsar wetlands in the Murrumbidgee Catchment, they are high value biodiversity refuges situated in a highly altered landscape.
This project aims to enhance, protect and sustain the ecological character of the wetlands, including significant species, via an adaptive management approach.
The project will be developed with input from a diverse range of stakeholders via the Fivebough and Tuckerbil Wetland Advisory Committee. The project will work to a shared vision, implemented through targeted on-ground restoration and conservation works, developing community capacities, and supporting Indigenous knowledge.
Management activities will address the watering regime, the use of environmental water, pest and weed management, maintenance of a mosaic of vegetation that is vital for waterbirds, and develop strong partnerships with community and Indigenous groups.
