Targeted measures including increasing stock reserves for high-demand regions and reducing inventory for low-demand regions are implemented, providing data support for enterprises across the entire industry chain to formulate production and sales strategies, thereby delivering more personalized products and services to customers.

1. Data Collection: Sales transaction data related to cold-chain fresh marinated foods with delivery addresses covering all regions within Chongqing Municipality are collected.
2. Data Processing: The collected data is classified and organized to facilitate subsequent analysis and application.
3. Algorithm Processing: Analyze the processed data using the following methods:
The average order amount of Chongqing Municipality = Total sales revenue of Chongqing / Total number of orders in Chongqing
The demand index P of a given region = (Total sales revenue of the region / Average order amount of Chongqing) * (Total number of orders in Chongqing / Total sales revenue of Chongqing)
Note that "Total number of orders in Chongqing / Total sales revenue of Chongqing" is a constant, which is used to convert regional sales revenue into demand estimation based on the average order amount of Chongqing Municipality.
The data is in a consolidated state, primarily aggregated by region, and the records are not strictly arranged in chronological order. The price difference of fresh marinated foods across regions is negligible. As orders may involve bundled or combo order discounts, the value of Total sales revenue of Chongqing / Total number of orders in Chongqing is not equal to Total sales revenue of a region / Total number of orders in that region. Therefore, the standardized algorithm based on industry experience that uses the average order amount of Chongqing is adopted for data processing.

Data Classification, Grading and Reuse: Classify regions based on the calculated demand level: regions with P > 5.0 are categorized as high-demand regions, 1 < P ≤ 5.0 as medium-demand regions, and P ≤ 1 as low-demand regions. More precise production and marketing strategies are arranged according to the regional levels. For example, the 2023 demand assessment data for Chongqing can provide data support for regional product stocking and sales strategies in 2024, specifically increasing the stocking volume in high-demand regions and reducing inventory in low-demand regions.
Note: The divisions of province, municipality, district, etc. in the dataset refer to regional administrative divisions. If the first-level administrative division is a province, the second-level division will be at the city level; if the first-level division is a municipality directly under the Central Government, the second-level divisions will be districts under the municipality.
