LCL RNA-seq from African Ancestry Samples in the 1000 Genomes Project

This dataset contains mRNA-seq of RNA extracted from lymphoblastoid cell lines (LCLs) derived from individuals of African ancestry. On its own this is a resource for studying gene expression in individuals of African ancestry. Combined with the variants derived from WGS of these same individuals it enables the study of genetics of gene expression in this population, which has been one of the most direct and fruitful high-throughput approaches to interrogating the function of the genome.
