资源简介:
Water fixtures are components connected to the water network, such as valves, hydrants, or tobies. These fixtures allow the Council to manage, monitor, and maintain the water supply system effectively. They play critical roles in controlling flow, monitoring pressure, sampling water, and providing access for firefighting and maintenance. Data is continually updated as new information is received. The vertical datum used for this dataset is NZVD 2016. Dataset Fields (Columns): Compkey: A unique, auto-generated identifier for the asset UnitID: A unique ID used to identify the asset in the system FixRL: Elevation (Reduced Level) of the fixture — i.e., vertical position Fixture: Code representing the type of fixture (see below for full list) Material Codes & Descriptions ARVL: Air Release Valve Lets air escape from water pipes so they keep flowing smoothly BACK: Backflow Valve Stops water from flowing backward and contaminating the network BFVL: Butterfly Valve A type of valve used to start or stop water flow in a pipe BOOST: Water Booster Station Pumps water to make sure there’s enough pressure in the network BORE: Bore A deep hole drilled into the ground to access water BPVL: Bypass Valve Allows water to flow around a section of pipe when needed CBS: Chlorine Booster Station Adds chlorine to water to keep it clean and safe CLVL: Control Valve Regulates water flow or pressure in the pipes DE: Dead End A pipe that doesn’t connect to any other pipes at the far end DLOG: Data Logger Records water network data like flow or pressure over time DSCV: Double Spring Check Valve A special valve that stops water from flowing backward ERTH: Earth The ground or soil in the area of the water network FH: Water Hydrant A tap on the street for firefighters to access water quickly FLOW: Bulk Flow Meter Measures large amounts of water moving through a pipe GTVL: Gate Valve A valve that can fully stop or allow water flow IMH: Inspection Manhole A small underground chamber for checking or maintaining pipes ISVL: Isolating Valve Lets the council shut off water to part of the network for repairs MANI: Manifold A small underground box containing a valve at the edge of a property METER: Meter Measures how much water a property uses ND: Node A point in the network where pipes meet NRVL: Non-Return Valve A valve that stops water from flowing backward PMS: Pressure Management Station Controls water pressure to keep pipes safe PRVL: Pressure Reducing Valve Reduces water pressure to a safer level for the pipes PSVL: Pressure Sustaining Valve Keeps pressure at a set level to maintain consistent flow REDUCE: Reducer A fitting that connects pipes of different sizes RSVR: Reservoir A large tank or storage area that holds water for the network SCVL: Scour Valve Lets the council flush out sediment from pipes to keep them clean SEVL: Service Valve Controls water flow to an individual property SLVL: Sluice Valve A valve that can fully stop or allow water flow, often for maintenance SWPT: Swab Launcher Part of the system used to clean pipes from the inside SWST: Swab Station Where the pipe cleaning equipment is inserted TFS: Tanker Filling Station A place to fill water trucks TOBY: Toby A small underground box containing a valve at the edge of a property VFM: Variable Flow Meter Measures the amount of water flowing through a pipe WPS: Water Pump Station Pumps water to maintain pressure and supply across the network WPU: Water Polishing Unit Treats water to improve quality before it reaches homes WSB: Water Sample Box A point where council staff can take water samples for testing Notes: The "Updated" date you see on this item indicates when the metadata was last revised. It doesn’t necessarily reflect when the data inside the feature layer was last refreshed. The data available for download on Palmy GeoHUB is updated daily, this results in a difference between what’s currently visible online and PNCC’s databases.
