Dataset-Loneliness and Mental Health in Older Adults The Mediating Role of Meaning in Life and the Moderating Role of Psychological Resilience

This dataset, " Dataset-Loneliness and Mental Health in Older Adults The Mediating Role of Meaning in Life and the Moderating Role of Psychological Resilience," was collected from older adults at Wuhan, Hubei Province, China between October and November 2025 via the Wenjuanxing online survey platform. Using a random sampling approach, a total of 983 valid questionnaires were obtained. The dataset was used to examine the relationships among loneliness, mental health, meaning in life, and psychological resilience. The dataset includes demographic variables and key psychological factors, including loneliness, mental health, and meaning in life, with psychological resilience examined as a moderating variable. These data provide insights into the resource-based mechanisms linking loneliness and mental health among older adults, offering valuable theoretical support for the development of targeted interventions aimed at enhancing their mental well-being.
