Coefficients of determination (R2) for conductance correlations.

Coefficients of determination (R2 values) for linear regression fits of the dependence of mRNA levels of one ion channel versus those of another. Bold indicates significant fits (p2 valuesbold and italics indicates significant fits with R2 values> = 0.60. These “strong” correlations represented in bold and italics are plotted in Fig. 5. For pairs that were measured in more than one group, both R2 values are presented. *A significant correlation was measured between normalized levels of para and IH (R2 = 0.51), however no significant correlation was measured in the unnormalized data. To avoid the possibility of normalization inducing false correlations, we exclude these data from our analysis.
