Lake Okeechobee Littoral Vegetation (2003N)

This polygon feature class defines the extent and type of littoral vegetation within the western marsh portion of Lake Okeechobee between Belle Glade and the Kissimmee River (including Eagle Bay Island, Henry Creek, and Three Islands) circa 2003. These data were collected under the CERP and LOPP programs for use in performance measure evaluation related to the long-term health of the Lake Okeechobee's littoral plant community. Vegetation data were interpreted from 2003 color infrared (CIR) aerial photography flown in April and May 2003 at 1:4800, 1:6000 and 1:12000. Data were compiled in a 3D environment using Kork digital stereo.
