Gene expression signatures after immunisation with MF59C adjuvanted trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine for season 2014-2015 Northern hemisphere (BIOVACSAFE protocol 305D)

The time course of whole blood gene expression was determined in healthy adult participants who were randomised to receive either a single intramuscular immunisation with MF59C adjuvanted influenza vaccine (FLUADD) or equivalent volume saline control (PLACEBOD). Participants attended a single outpatient unit (CEVAC, Gent, Belgium). Pre-immunisation baseline sample was drawn on day 0, and further samples collected on days 1 and 7 for one subgroup; or 1, 3, 7 and 21 in the remainder. All samples were collected into PaxGene tubes.
