Temperature profile data were collected from the SEA-LAND DEFENDER from January 1, 1997 to December 31, 1997. Data were submitted by the Institut Français De Recherche Pour L'Explitation De La Mer - Brest as part of the Global Temperature - Salinity Pilot Project (GTSPP). Data were collected using bottle, CTD, profiling floats, and XBT casts in a world-wide distribution.
