klebs_eco_CRE_ESBL

This project will analyze the prevalence of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella spp. and extended-spectrum beta-lactamase producing E. coli. This analysis will be used to select regions with high prevalence to recruit patients for drugs under development for the prevention of infection by these organisms. This study has the potential to reduce antimicrobial-resistant infections and delay the evolution of antimicrobial resistance to life-saving antibiotics.
