Drivers of TCs in the SWIO based on 5 CMIP6 Models
收藏资源简介:
This dataset provides monthly mean relative humidity (hur) fields from multiple CMIP6 global climate models for both the historical (1959–2000) and future high-emission SSP585 scenario (2060–2100). The variable is extracted on standard atmospheric levels, suitable for investigating thermodynamic drivers of tropical cyclones (TCs) over the Southwest Indian Ocean (SWIO). The included models are: ACCESS-CM2 INM-CM5-0 CMCC-ESM2 CIESM MPI-ESM1-2-LR Files are stored in NetCDF format with grids corresponding to each model’s native resolution (gn, gr, or gr1). Each file contains monthly mean relative humidity values under the CMIP6 “Amon” frequency (Atmosphere, monthly). This dataset supports studies of large-scale circulation, vertical moisture structure, and thermodynamic conditions associated with tropical cyclone genesis and development in the SWIO. Historical simulations provide a baseline for 20th-century climate variability, while SSP585 experiments allow exploration of projected changes under a warming climate.
