NRS-2394 | Registers of prisoners received [Parramatta Gaol]

These volumes record details of all prisoners entering the institution including those transferred from another institution. Each entry provides the following information: from which gaol transferred; name of prisoner; date of birth; marital status, religious denomination, and whether Aboriginal; court passing sentence and date sentenced; offence and length of sentence; date sentence commenced; and non-parole period.The series may also be known as 'Receivals registers' and is continued in NRS-2395.Note:This description is extracted from Concise Guide to the State Archives of New South Wales, 3rd Edition 2000.
