Angola (2005): HIV/AIDS TRaC Study among Youth 12-24 years of age. First Round.

The Jango Juvenil youth center project that promotes HIV prevention among adolescents and youth is implemented by a network of subcontracted national NGOs with the support of the Government of Angola Ministry of Youth and Sports and National Institute for the Fight Against AIDS (INLS). The objectives of this study were: (1) to measure change in practice of delayed sexual debut, partner reduction and condom use among youth in Luanda and Lubango; (2) to gain insight into the opportunity, ability and motivation factors and population characteristics that drive or inhibit preventive behaviors against HIV transmission among this target group; (3) to measure exposure to PSI interventions and correlation between exposure and behavior.
