资源简介:

Despite their global impact on human and animal health, a lack of access to tractable experimental systems is hampering research progress in parasitic worms. FUGI (Flatworm Functional Genomics Initiative) aims to advance research progress into parasitic flatworms by developing tractable experimental systems, capable of supporting stable transgenesis, genome-editing tools and immortal cell lines. One of the aims of FUGI is poly-omics characterisation of stem cell systems in E. multilocularis (germinative cells). This study will include bulk cell transcriptomics of interesting E. multilocularis phenotypes. In the first instance, we will undertake transcriptomic analysis of E. multilocularis metacestode vesicles depleted of stem cells using a polo-like kinase inhibitor, stem cell cultures treated with beta-catenin RNAi (leads to anteriorisation of the culture) or heparin-FGF (leads to posteriorisation of the culture). 1 This data is part of a pre-publication release. For information on the proper use of pre-publication data shared by the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute (including details of any publication moratoria), please see http://www.sanger.ac.uk/datasharing/
