Influence of the autoinducer-2 dependent quorum sensing on gene expression of asymptomatic bacteriuria E. coli isolate 83972

To analyze the effect of AI-2-dependent quorum sensing on gene expression at the transcriptional level of E. coli 83972, we performed an RNA-seq analysis of wild type strain and the lsr-complemented variant 83972 attB::lsr. Overall design: Both strains were cultivated in LB, and samples were taken in the lag phase, during mid-exponential growth, and during the transition to the stationary phase.
