The Excavation of the Cleatham Anglo-Saxon Cemetery, North Lincolnshire

In the 1980's the Anglo-Saxon mixed rite cemetery at Cleatham, in the parish of Manton, North Lincolnshire was excavated in advance of its destruction by ploughing. This work resulted in the recovery of 1204 urns and 62 inhumations together with boundary ditches and other features. The digital archive includes the full catalogues of urns, inhumations and finds as a relational database together with images and metadata defining the terms used. The digital archive is intended to complement the Council for British Archaeology publication about the site which is due for release in 2007.
