Hawaii Coral Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program (CRAMP) benthic data and still images from 2018-07-11 to 2018-10-02 on Oahu and Kauai (NCEI Accession 0222170)

This data set consists of digitial still images along coral reef transect lines, from which quantitative benthic data are derived from select images via PhotoGrid, a software package that analyzes random points on digital still images of coral reefs and substrate. The benthic data include substrate type and species identification. A total of 6 transects of the Hawaii Coral Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program (CRAMP) took place 2018-07-11 to 2018-10-02 at 3 sites on Oahu and Kauai. Most sites consist of two transects long different isobaths-- shallow (~2-4m) and deep (~7-13m) lines. CRAMP has surveyed state-wide coral reefs quasi-annually since 1999 with all historic sets archived at NOAA/NESDIS/NCEI.
