Climate Adaptation Mission: Challenge Briefing: Challenges facing communities that rely on natural resource management and natural capital

This report describes a synthesis of current information about challenges facing Australian communities that rely on natural resource management and natural capital in the context of climate change and adaptation. Specifically, it discusses (1) environmental degradation; (2) changed or reduced economic foundation or activities; (3) food and water insecurity. The report was prepared as a briefing for participants in a behaviour change co-design process that formed a research activity within the Climate Adaptation Mission. The Mission is a research collaboration between BehaviourWorks Australia at Monash Sustainable Development Institute, and government and non-government organisations in Australia.
