<b>A Dual-Phase Antiviral Mechanism of Lactobacillus brevis ZG2488: Host Reprogramming and Virus Replication Suppression</b>

This study identifies L. brevis ZG2488 as a probiotic with exceptional therapeutic antiviral activity mediated through a novel, non-inflammatory “host reprogramming” mechanism. The effect depends on bacterial viability and is closely linked to the downregulation of host factors critical for IAV replication. These findings highlight L. brevis ZG2488 as a promising therapeutic probiotic candidate and provide a new conceptual framework for developing host-targeted antiviral strategies
