R scripts and processed data for: Vertical β-diversity structure of microbial and microfaunal communities in litter and soil of temperate and tropical forests

This repository contains the R scripts and processed data used to reproduce the analyses and figures presented in the manuscript: “Vertical β-diversity structure of microbial and microfaunal communities in litter and soil of temperate and tropical forests”. The workflow includes:(1) calculation of litter–soil beta diversity,(2) partitioning into turnover and nestedness components,(3) analysis of litter-only, shared, and soil-only taxa,(4) statistical comparisons between temperate and tropical forests,(5) structural equation modeling (SEM),and (6) generation of publication figures. All analyses can be reproduced using the provided ASV tables and metadata. Raw sequencing data are available in the NCBI Sequence Read Archive (SRA) under BioProject accession PRJNA1439595.
