To understand the role of vasa in the fat body, vasa was knocked down in the fat body using S106-GS Gal4 driver. S106-GS> UAS-vasa RNAi male flies were fed either normal diet or high fat diet for 7 days. Then flies were placed on the starvation media for 48 hours. The RNA-seq analysis was performed using dissected fat bodies of these flies.
