Genome assembly of the tetraploid fish Sinocyclocheilus anshuiensis
收藏资源简介:
Sinocyclocheilus anshuiensis is a blind barbine cyprinid that inhabits subterranean environments and is native to subtropical cave ecosystems. This species reaches a maximum length of 10.0 cm and is identifiable from related species by its distinct morphological characteristics. Notably, it possesses seven rays in the dorsal fin, featuring a notably weak final unbranched dorsal ray with serrations along its posterior edge. The pelvic fin is positioned anterior to the dorsal fin, and the dorsal contour of the head is prominently elevated, enhanced by a fleshy tubercle that faces forward in the frontal area. The body is covered in scales, exhibiting 34-38 lateral line scales that are proportionately similar in size to the adjacent scales, while the caudal peduncle is characterized by well-defined crests. [adapted from Gan et al. (2013) and fishbase.se]
We present a publicly available scaffold-level genome assembly of Sinocyclocheilus anshuiensis, established from pseudochromosome reconstruction based on the reference chromosome-level assembly of S. grahami. The BUSCO analysis indicates a completeness of 95.8%.
