Supporting data for "Social Coping Strategies in Autistic and Non-Autistic Adults Beyond the West"

This dataset includes data used in the thesis titled "Social Coping Strategies in Autistic and Non-Autistic Adults Beyond the West". It includes two main sets of self-report survey data from autistic and non-autistic adults: 1) data comprising quantitative questionnaire responses and qualitative responses exploring the use and experiences of social coping strategies (N = 342, Hong Kong), and 2) questionnaire data for psychometric evaluation of a newly developed questionnaire measuring social coping strategies (e.g., exploratory factor analysis; N = 130, Hong Kong). Metadata of the UK quantitative questionnaire data on strategy use are provided. These UK data were combined with the HK data described above for cross-cultural comparisons (N = 131, UK) and psychometric evaluation (N = 359, UK).
