Four-species bacterial consortium formed multispecies biofilm on plant roots

Microorganisms colonizing plant roots co-exist in complex, spatially structured multispecies biofilm communities. However, little is known about the effect of multispecies biofilms on plant growth and spatial organization of multispecies interactions on plant roots. Here, we used a well-established four-strain multispecies biofilm model Arabidopsis roots to study the impact of multispecies biofilm on plant growth and its spatial organization on the roots.
