Entomyzon cyanotis isolate:MCZ_336010 Genome sequencing and assembly

This Entomyzon cyantois draft genome submission is a part of ongoing research on the genomics of population divergence in this species. In this research, the draft genome presented here is used as a reference for resequencing genomes of individuals across the geographic range of E. cyanotis. The general goal of this research is to infer the dynamic history of gene flow during isolation and secondary contact of populations associated with the changing land-mass of the Australo-Papuan region. Further, we intend to examine how selection, migration and drift may have contributed to current geographic variation in genotypes and phenotypes.
