Complete genome resources for seven strains of Xylella fastidiosa subsp. fastidiosa

Xylella fastidiosa is a bacterial plant pathogen disseminated across the Americas, while its presence is currently described in several European countries.This study provides the complete genome of seven strains isolated from Rhamnus alaternus (R2XF4358/18 and XYL461), Vitis vinifera (IVIA5770, CFBP8351, CFPB8083 and WM1-1), Coffea canephora (CFBP8073). All strains belong to X. fastidiosa subsp. fastidiosa ST1, 2 and 75, respectively. Taxonomic assignment at subspecies level was based on MLST analysis using 7 housekeeping genes (Yuan et al., 2010) and whole genome sequencing using using a combination of long and short read technologies.
