12CO and 13CO Dual Volume Rendering of Molecular Gas in the Perseus Molecular Cloud

This video shows a joint volume rendering of 12CO (red) and 13CO (blue) gas towards the Perseus Molecular Cloud, from the COMPLETE Survey of Star Forming Regions. The volume rendering is created using the glue software (glueviz.org). The z axis is the velocity axis, over the range -2 to 12 km/s. Embedded points show the average reddening weighted velocities (light gray) and peak reddening velocities (dark grey) as a function of the right ascension and declination for major star-forming regions across Perseus, as parameterized by Zucker et al. 2018 (see Tables 1 and 3 in Zucker et al. 2018).
