a Sera from patients with chronic hepatitis C or B were ultracentrifuged for 1 h at 436,000 x g and subsequently tested for HCV or HBV using the corresponding virus-ApoH immunoassay. The presence of viral antigens was revealed using either anti-E2 or anti-HBsAg MAbs. Results are expressed as P/N values. Detection of HCV and HBV within different centrifuged serum fractions using the appropriate ApoH-immunoassay.
