Dataset for a Comparative Analysis of the (ML 6.8, Mw 7.3) November 14, 1986, and (ML 7.1, Mw 7.4) April 2, 2024, Hualien, Taiwan earthquakes

This dataset includes the damage information and the seismic waveforms in SAC format for Figure 2, 3, 6, 7, 8 and 9. 1) "damage_info_1986_2024" : the information of reported building damage, landslides and rockfalls in 1986 and 2024 Hualien earthquakes for Figure 2 and 3. 2) "C00_E026_vel_waveforms" : the velocity waveforms of station C00 (SMART-1) and station E026 (TSMIP) for Figure 6. 3) "SMA_TSMIP_acc_waveforms" : the acceleration waveforms of SMA and TSMIP networks for Figure 7 and 8. 4) "E026_obs_syn_vel_waveforms" : the observed and synthetic vertical displacement waveforms at station E026.
