This article examines the significance of modern curriculum design approaches in improving the effectiveness of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teaching. The study analyzes learner-centered, competency-based, communicative, and technology-integrated curriculum models that are widely implemented in contemporary language education. The research highlights how systematic curriculum planning contributes to the development of learners’ communicative competence, critical thinking, collaborative learning, and practical language use. In addition, the article discusses the role of flexible instructional strategies, authentic materials, assessment methods, and digital tools in increasing student motivation and classroom interaction. The findings demonstrate that modern curriculum design positively influences teaching quality by creating more adaptive, inclusive, and outcome-oriented learning environments. The study also emphasizes that effective curriculum development requires continuous needs analysis, teacher training, and alignment between educational objectives and learners’ real-life language demands.
